Chinchilla love treats and they can help you bond with the Chinchilla quicker, but only give them treats sparingly. Chinchilla does not have a terrific digestive tract so if they eat too much treats, they may get sick or get diarrhea. Do not feed Chinchilla meat since they are herbivores. And any fruit with a pit is hazardous to a Chinchilla’s health.

The one thing Chinchillas love more than raisins is perhaps yogurt chips. This is a good special treat to give to your Chinchilla from time to time.

A simple natural treat filled with dried vegetables such as carrots, zucchini, green beans, green bell peppers, green peas and sweet potatoes that you can mix in with your Chinchilla’s main food supply.
Remember to buy the Chinchilla’s main source of food, and not just treats. Also remember to pick up some accessories and toys for your Chinchilla if you have not done so!
